Since being formed in 2012, Team Trace has donated over $300,000 to Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) in Washington DC in support of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) research. In addition to research, Team Trace focuses on increasing awareness and support for CHD by sponsoring or participating in various events in the community.
As we head into 2020, our mission and funding will continue to be focused on CHD awareness, research and community. The following is a brief overview of our planned focus for 2020:
- Awareness Our Team Trace Facebook page and Heart to Heart event will continue to be platforms to help raise awareness to CHD.
- Research Supporting CHD research with Children’s National Medical Center. Please see further details on progress with the Pericardial Access Tool
- Community We have advanced our AED project with recent approval to move forward from the Talbot County parks and req board. We are working on our first installation, with Talbot EMS, as part of a county AED standardization project. Our goal is to get 10 or more placed in 2020.
We are really excited about the progress we have all accomplished in raising awareness to CHD, the Pericardial access tool project and our local community.
